Chi completed her Ph.D. in 2018 at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in Design Theory at the School of Design. In 2012, she obtained a Master's degree in Design Curation from Kingston University in the United Kingdom, and she was the recipient of a full scholarship from the Sino-British Fellowship Trust for the academic year 2011/2012. Her primary research focus lies in the global perspective of design culture exchange and design education. She have participated in one national-level research project, two provincial-level research projects, and have led or participated in five university-level research projects. She have authored one book, translated a book and have published a total of 20 papers in both Chinese and English.
